Photography has been part of my life for decades having started at the age of 14 with a Boots Bierette 35mm camera. I became interested in the printing of images at an early stage and at one time had my own darkroom for processing colour prints. I still print my own images using an Epson printer and HAHNEMUHLE FINE ART paper. As most of us photographers do we move on to digital photography which I did at it's onset. I have had experience of wedding photography and shooting gardens and restaurants for a Sunday newspaper. I also supply a local outlet with fine art cards and framed prints. At one time I concentrated on landscape photography but now I am immersed in ABSTRACT images using my own ART work for backgrounds and merging. Each of these art pieces are unique to my photography. I achieved my ARPS over 2 years ago with an abstract panel of images obtained from Boat Painters yards where the painters cleaned their brushes and rollers. Some of these images are featured in this website. I use double and multiple exposures and also the blending of images in post processing. I prefer to achieve the effect I want in camera.
Most of my images are of a square (or near square) format which I came across many years ago through the work of Charlie Waite, he has influenced my photography as has the inspirational images of Valda Bailey.
